keslider55
hey guys, ive got a 4k engine and I'm trying to get my redline single dcoe weber manifold on. its got extractors so i had to shave a bit off the edges of the manifold to squeeze it in between. BUT,,, now that it fits on, i just realised the nuts/studs that hold the manifold/extractors on are not going to work because the manifold and extractors have a different thickness on the base plate that bolts on. if you understand what i mean please help me out. :glare:
Oh-KE
hey mate, I had the same problem when I put extractors on. I used a file to make the stock inlet mani the same level. Worked a treat. Good luck. :y:

philbey
Yeh, I used a file as well. Make sure you file off the back face (that the nut tightens too) I've seen it done where they tried to file the head face down = fail. Take your time and keep checking with verniers. It's only a half hour job.
