3k Bigport

hey guys, I'm looking at buying a 3k bigport head for my 4k

 

i read in the wiki that is says: " They also have crappy valve retainers and stem seals, which you need to change to later 4K gear when you make power".

 

now can i use my 20 yr old parts from my 4k on the 3k hed? and is it hard to change them over?

 

also is it (swapping heads) a basic swap.. or do i need to buy little "this and that" parts?

how much wuld a mechanic charge on changeing a head over? u guys make it seem easy enough to do it urself..
