B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Is the wheel tightened onto the boss kit properly? Also the boss kit might be a little too big for the spline (wrong type for your car). Quote
SkidzMgee Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Maybe the spline nut (not sure if thats the tech term for it) isn't done up quite as far as it was when you got it off? Otherwise if the play is the actual wheel flexing, then it's just coz its made of plastic, like mine :( But like blzbub said, if the boss alan nuts are done up, and the spline nut is tight, there shouldnt be play at all :S Quote
philbey Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) Are they countersunk screws holding it to the bosskit? I put $5 down that your countersunk screws are incorrectly sized for the thin sheetmetal (or the holes in the wheel are drilled too deep) of the steering wheel so that they bottom out without tightening the wheel down correctly. If this is the case you can probably recess the tops of the threaded holes slightly. Or you could replace them with Buttonhead screws. Edited January 21, 2011 by philbey Quote
