Josho Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 The Motor Sports Club of Tasmania is holding a super sprint day at Symmons in just over a weeks time. Pretty sure some of you lot should get out there and have a go. No excuses, even if you're still running a standard K motor. Supp Regs are here Entry Forms are here Basic costs for the day if its your first time. $45 - Club membership $95 - Entry fee for day $95 - Cams 2S licence (full year) +fuel +whatever else All forms can be filled out on the day, I'm not sure if they do it still but you can opt for a cheaper, single day cams licence. But it makes sense just to go for the full year. As for what needs to be done to your car, to quote the supp regs... "21. Vehicles All Vehicles must comply with Schedules A & B of the General Requirements for Automobiles in the 2011 CAMS Manual of Motorsport. Vehicles must be adequately muffled to comply with noise restrictions. Fuel must comply with Schedule G of the current CAMS Manual. The following should be especially noted:- All cars must be fitted with:- • Seat belts to AS2926, E35 or of a type specially approved by CAMS. As per Schedule I of the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. • A fire extinguisher (securely fitted) which complies with AS 1841 and be of at least 900g capacity and maintained in accordance with AS 1851 As per Schedule H of the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport • Roll bar/cage is recommended for all events. However for Single and Multi-car non-race Speed Events, roll over structures are not mandatory. • A blue triangle (150mm sides) indicating battery location • Be configured so that, when measured in competition conditions at 30m from the track edge, the sound emission from the vehicle does not exceed 95db (A) • At least two independent fastening systems for rear hinged bonnets. Two separate fastening systems on any front opening panel. • If a logbook has been issued for a vehicle, then it must be produced at scrutiny. • All vehicles to be of neat and tidy appearance. • Cars that are required to have roll bars fitted must also be fitted with at least a lap-sash type seat belt." Get amongst it, or at least come watch, I'll be out attacking the track at 1/2 - 3/4 throttle if my car still isn't tuned properly  Quote
