The_enthusiast Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my old girl ( the car... My mums fine) It started a few weeks ago and has gotten progressively worse, I could start the car and drive for a good ten minutes then it would start to die but if I then pulled over it would start again and hold idle but if you reved it, Would be fine then "miss" cough and start to die again, sometimes if you were light with your foot you could recover idle before it died. I used compressed air to blow out the fuel filter that was a little blocked... And noticed the clear plate on the front of the carby that shows fuel level was next to empty.. I then decided to bypass the filter and it's still dieing and won't hold idle for longer than 20 seconds when it's running it's fine.. I noticed the second throttle pipe it bone dry... I suspect the second jets not working I don't know any one help?? Thanks in advance Jack Quote
