good day

 

just wonder does our Aisan carb Accelerator Pump is lonk to a small lever that connects to a spring loaded rod which pivots from the throttle linkage. as show in the picture below thank you

thus allow me to adjust the accelerator speed :)

that's right, by changing the length and rate of the spring, you can adjust the amount of fuel that gets discharged by the pump, and how quickly it gets released. well spotted :blush:

 

gee I spoted my aisan carb man it is diffent as the spring is lock with a clip so cannot adjust it go to think of another way :)

you can shim or cut the spring. the linkage just comes off with a circlip

 

yes you are right super jamie, :blush: just wonder what will happen if I cut the spring to be shorter :) any idea can share your experince :o

then there is less initial force resisting the pump, so it pumps as much as it can quicker. generally, cutting a spring makes it stiffer

 

thank you got the idea & concept, as less resistance well try it out in my spare carb :cool:
