sliding ke70 Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Hey I have recently just bought an ae71 of an old lady problem is its an auto . but then I found a ke70 with a manual box in it for real cheap me being dumb and inexperienced bought the car not knowing they are completely different . So anyway my question is can I use my manual box out of my 4k motor into my 4a series engine and please don't say find a t50 because it is impossible has anyone used like an adapter or whatever to fit it and where can I buy one cheers Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 No, i only think there is a k(engine)-t(box) adapter. And there would be no point putting the k box behind that engine, too much work and it'd die. Hate to say it, but find a t50. A k box is going backwards and pointless. Plus hydraulic clutch/cable clutch blah blah Quote
!!!! DRFTR!!!! Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 HI MATE the 4kc and 4a motors and gearboxes are completely different eg:nothing intterchanges . I have owned and dismantled plenty of the ke70 and ae7i corollas over the years and i know these cars inside and out ! .T50 gearboxes are out there you just have to ask around or try asking me (I have 5 of them 2 of them still attached to 4a motors). Also the t50 uses a hydrualic clutch and you will need the hydrualic ae71 pedal box assembly for it to work properly THESE ARE DAMNED NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND and i have 6 of them . i am in the process of putting together conversion kits for 4age to ke70 and will soon have plenty of parts for sale soon on this site. ifyou need any info please message me CHEERS DOMENIC Quote
