ok, I'm sure some1 knows how to do this, i want to remove the side strip/trim, an badges on my car, ive heard mixed things like on some models they are glued on some they have clips, what type are the KE models?an whats the best method of removing them?

Hi, don't mean to hijack your thread, but I'd be interested to know if its possible to get the chrome trims on the roof gutters off. I've got few spots of rust in the gutter and it's gonna be annoying to get at while the trim is on.

tilt and push the chrome trim towards the Middle of the roof then up and they should come out.

 

thats how i got mine out to clean up a bit. can be very annoying to get on and off.

 

i know one of the badges at the back is clipped and has holes in the boot the other is glued on i think the toyota badge is clipped but I'm not 100% sure

ok had a look at the side strip there glued on, so should come of with a bit of care, an the chrome stip that is above the door arches will come of to?

 

These are picks of unusual rust i found on my window arches?looks like a pain in the arse to fix..

Hey when i took my badges of my ke70 they were glued on wid 2 or 3 points on the back(to fit in the holes in ur boot) I used fishing line to get em off and it worked a treat and didn't scratch my paint!! hope this helps u!!

cheers dude yea i have got em of now, an found evidence of bad repairs by the previous owner :) centimetre thick layer of bog on the left hand side rear quater panel.. :)

Abit off topic, but does anyone know where to get new clips so you can put the roof gutters back on??

 

Also the badges that say corolla are pinned into the panels.

Jon i found i could lever certain bits of, as there done with plugs, tho, a few badges had rivet like pins in there, they should be to hard to dislodge
