TheOldCorollaNut Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 I've only worked on my K or 3K engines in my 68 KE10. Got a Hanes manual many years ago. Virtually no difference in putting an 1100 together vs a 1200 My book also has the 2TE teardown in it, (up to 1974). Neighbor has had trouble getting it done and already has a bunch of new parts. Left it at a shop for 6 months and they "never got to it", somebody else was supposed to, didn't happen. I don't necessarily want to but I feel bad for him. If I end up trying to do it driveway style, would that 2T section be close enough for me to get it back together? Just a different crank and few things...maybe? I'm going to have to get the block checked somewhere for him, there are some pits I'm scared of near the top of a couple of cylinders. It might have to be sleeved at worst. Crank needs checked, head.
