Hey all,

I bent a pushrod in my 5K and I'm having a fair bit of trouble locating a new one. Toyota keep sending out the wrong one and the wreckers don't seem to be able to help. The pushrods in my 5K are roughly 15cm long.

Firstly is this the right size that should be in a 5K and if it is why is toyota struggling to GET IT RIGHT.

 

I would also like to know if all K motors have the same size pushrods and if anyone is Sydney has a pushrod that they think will suit or if anyone knows where i should look for one I would greatly appreciate it.

well ive come up with 2 part numbers 13781-13081 & 13781-13091 both are for the one with hyl lifters. i know theres 2 for the one with solid lifters

 

what lifters have you got?

do you know if the pistons are flat tops or dished type (this changes the height of your cyl head)?

They are dished pistons and i have hydraulic lifters.

Thanks for all your help but Toyota sent the right one yesterday. Third time lucky, they have the worst system for ordering parts.

We bent one of mine when putting my 5K head back on, and my trusty mechanic bent it back...well enough to last anyways :P

Haha yeh we bent mine back until they sent it out aswell
