August 18, 200620 yr comment_135430 Hi, Next week I have some car audio components coming in from China. Basically they are ipod and usb adapters that connect to the AUX-IN port on the back of Fujitsu Ten factory stereos. To my knowledge these are fitted to the 2005 Corolla range and presumably the 2006 Corolla. The iPod model allows you to charge the ipod from the stereo, control the track selection from the stereo and does not use FM modulation so you can get CD quality sound from the iPod. People have also run into ground loop buzzing noises when using other adapters and chargers, this adapter ensures any interference is eliminated by powering the iPod from the stereo unit. The other feature is an RCA Video Out lead for iPod Video models. This allows a connection to an external LCD screen, which means you could power an incar enterainment system from one 30GB iPod! There is also a USB model which allows you to plug in USB Memory Sticks with MP3's on them and play them back via the car stereo. I have seen both of these models in Mazdas and they work fantastically. As these are new to Australia what I require is one person with a Fujitsu Ten head unit in their car who is willing to be the first to try one of these. If they like the adapter and its features they can purchase it at a wholesale rate. I'd need this person to be in Melbourne so I can fit and see it working too, and document the installation process. So if there is someone out there who wants to connect their iPod to their car stereo properly please PM me and we can arrange a time to meet. Cheers Pete. Report
