What about converting the rear brakes to that of maybe a KE55? They're still leaf springs aren't they? Because KE30 - 55 diffs wouldn't go into KE20 would they??

Well... long term plan is to put something like a 4AGZE in but until then i think the K40 will be fine. Cheers guys! Much appreciated! lovin the Rollaclub assistance :P

Hmmm. I see. Do you know what series diff is in the KE20? anything interchangable at all within other Toyotas?

Basically the 3K in my KE20 isn't the greatest so instead of doing a recon i thought i might drop a 4K in instead :P Everything in the car is original at the moment (4sp manual by the way) just wondering what problems (if any) i would run into as i am new to engine swaps :( Any healp would be appreciated! Cheers

ok so got me a reasonable KE20 for $250 and i really want to upgrade the rear brakes/diff. Anyone know if a drum to drum from a later model KE is relatively easy to swap over?? and the complications of doing so?? Also, what diff is in the 74 KE20? because mine is NOISY! Any help would be apprectiated as this car will be my first project :) Cheers

So i'm picking up a KE20 tomorrow and the diff is quite noisy... i'm going to put a bit of work into it so i've decided it'd be nice to replace it with an LSD instead of a standard diff... Does anyone know if a stock LSD from another car fits into the KE20 diff housing or is it a custom job? cheers.

Just bought an RA40 celica and looking to give it a few mods to give it a bit more bite. Any ideas would be appreciated. Engine: 18R-C 5sp already have chopped springs all round. Cheers.
