  2. hi! i thnk you and me are only members from Pakistan :p (according to map)

  3. right thanks :( i will take a pic of vin plate & post it as well. for the time being please note as below: Owner: my father Username: asif shah Location: islamabad, pakistan Vehicle Name: toyota Vehicle Model: ke30r-krf Body Shape (# Doors): sedan / 4-door Date Made: 78/10 [as punched on wheel rims] Frame No. ke30-614210 Colour: 030 xv42 Engine: 3k-h 1166 cc Serial No. 7649421 Trans/Axle: k40 / u292 regards, asif
  4. hi: just want to know if the date punched on wheel-rims is the one considerd as the date of manufacture? like 10/78... as i cannot make out from the vin plate... here in pakistan the registration document only mentions the year. asif
  5. i thank you all for taking time to add comments here :( about its history, the car is with us since august 1986. previously it was owned by a military officer (our acquaintance) & he did approx 68000 km on it & kept it good. back in 1994 i changed the head-gasket because the coolant started to disappear. later changed the radiator too. i could not find genuine ke30 radiator so i purchased a genuine ke70 radiator, got side brackets of ke30 soldered on it & installed the same. so you can see the radiator cap is at one side & the upper-hose is like a question mark (not L-shaped). rear-view mirrors on fenders are not stock. replaced the regular nippondenso high tension ignition coil with a denso gt-coil about fifteen years back. recently i replaced set of high tension ignition leads since previous ones aged too much, this too with genuine toyota part. also fixed a third brake-light on rear deck which i manged from an auto junk-yard. i think the black spray paint from tin canister on differential is making it suspicious :) asif
  6. here you are with the pics i took yesterday to give you an idea. i am sorry i could not clean it up to the mark. frankly i am of the opinion that the car should be 'technically' clean first, then comes the interior & it should be squeaky clean... & ofcourse windshields & glasses should be without a speck of dust before driving. rest of the outer shell doesn't bother me much. i also try to keep the under-carriage free of dirt/mud. & i spray 'off-white' or 'black' colour paint at places where i find traces of surface rust as preventive maintenance. its basic colour-code according to vin plate is 030-xv42. hope i do not disappoint the viewers much... regards
