thanks, yeah i just managed to get an original (oem) one for $500 thats unused so it should give me at least another 100K before that one cracks. i saw karllos's thread and mine cracked right in the same place as his did. That must have been a design flaw. If you could get karl to have a look on here and maybe let me know where i could source the gaskets for the manifold. I know toyota want a rediculous amount for the triangular one that seals to the turbo but heard you could get this from subaru?

thanks guys, i've managed to find a place that does welding on cast iron and quoted around $260 too which is reasonable considering how hard it is too succesfully weld cast iron.

hey all, i've somehow managed to crack my exhaust manifold between the block and turbo, I know karllos has done this as well at one stage and was just wondering what are my options. is it worth upgrading turbo size and getting custom manifold, because i can't find any aftermarket manifolds and toyota parts are useless.

Hey what power difference did u get opening up the exhaust and doing cai? Also how many inch turbo back piping do u recommend 2 1/2 inch?

The car is stock atm except for a turbosmart bov. I don't plan on doing too much to the car as they are rare and would just ruin a limited edition. i will be dropping it a bit on coilovers and thinking about te37's maybe 16's 215 cause it struggles so much for traction. other than that and a boost gauge(which is a maybe, what do you reckon?) i think i'll leave it close to stock. what mod's are usually done to ae112r's?

hey guys thanks for all the replies i just got motul 10w-40 turbolight fully synthetic costs alot but is worth it, oh and got an oil filter from toyota, just one more question what would be the best spark plugs to run as toyota have mentioned that they put in "cooler" spark plugs. thanks in advance
