Planning on buying a toyota k-series engine manual. I have a 4k engine in my ke25, on the manual I found for sale it says "includes: 2K, 3K-B, 3K-C, 3K-H, & 4K-J". Does anyone know if the 4K-J is the same as a normal 4K? Whats the difference? Thanks

Once the engine starts, it idles smoothly, runs cool and strong. Only problem is getting it to start. Stevejw PM'd me saying it could be the carb draining fuel over the 2-3 days. I'll have a look and report back.

Recently bought a ke25 with a 4k engine. I know nothing about engines! So I need some help. I'm having a hard time starting the car after I park it for 2-3 days. The previous owner told me to just add some fuel to the carb, remove the air filter cap and pour some fuel. This trick works, he said this is how these old engines are. Is this true? is there anything I can do so the 4k engine will start right up every time? Please help! thanks in advance
