hi all, I recently got a ke30 and will be restoring the body before I sort out the engine etc, but I like to do my research first before I do anything :)
I got the ke30, and the last owner also had a rusty-beyond saving ta22 celice ST there, with the 2t-b engine...1600 vs 1166cc and crossflow engine, hemispherical head design etc so all the right ingredients to get a nice bit of power out of...
now the reason I want to put this into the KE is because he was originally going to do this, and offered I can have the full running gear to go with it.
now while i am mechanically minded and all, I want to know is this an easy swap, both wiring-wise and propshaft wise...??the mounts seen to be pretty similarily positioned, although I heard the sump is different so I could run into a spot of bother with the subframes?i have the celica subframe to take too so i'm not too worried about that though.
also, would it be wise to use the celica back axle with the engine and gearbox combo aswell, or use the probably old and weak 3k diff/axle?
