  1. tried a few shipping companies, not one of them even replied to my e-mails, grrrr :( can the national australian post sent these items too (minus the bonnet of course.might just patch up mine and make a fibreglass replica then) ??ie bootlid, grille, back lights and then small tidbits..
  2. ok will check them.in no particular rush so if it takes a few weeks to get here it doesnt bother me :)
  3. i would consider anything that'll get the parts shipped to me, and preferably as cheaply as possible...what courier companies are there in AUS, assume the usual DHL, UPS and fedex are there...want to internet-shop for the cheapest prices first lol
  4. I didnt know until NISROLA replied lol, i thought brisbane was a city :o damn lack of geographical knowledge yes, I just got to sort out someone to arrange the postage then :) there's a bonnet, bootlid, back lights and a few other small pieces I'm getting off him just to let anyone thats willing to help me sort this out know. only realised you sais sunday, assuming in a few days?doubt that I will have money in my account by then, I'll prob only have money to pay phatke30 next week :( to ireland bud (we don't have postcodes, so assume postage is the same to anywhere here) can anyone link me to the AUS post site, want to see if I can get a rough idea on what the postage will be...
  5. I apologise in advance to admin if this is the wrong section, but it seems the most appropriate hey guys I have a small favout to ask.i'm restoring a ke30 corolla and have parts sorted off a member of the site (phatke30), trouble is he is very busy with work and not able to sort out postage for me... so I am just wondering is there anyone on the site who has a short space of time to arrange postage of a few items, there will be a few AUD in it for you too ;) Regards, Nicky
  6. time will tell me how easy the conversion is anyway, was hoping for a full answer from the site though lol
  7. i read up about the clutch, easy peasy IMO :) the prop is my main worry, will see how it goes down along the line sure.i tried finding specs on the net and they never really said much about the rear suspension, only the obvious mcpherson fronts :( i know that, but a good proper welded in strut tower to the chassis, a rear brace and thinking of a full cage too....don't think the coilovers over-stressing the rear of the shell is much of a worry ;)
  8. there aren't much engines available in ireland for any old toyota's, and the 2t-b is available from the guy who I got the ke30 off, so for 105bhp why not? :) i never checked the celica axle before I left.if its leaf spring, easy to fit, if its coil spring then some mods to do, but easy to fit coilovers ;) there is a full ta22 there, so I can take as much parts as needed for the conversion, i just need to know what I need foirst.but how you wrote that message, I might aswell take the FULL running gear and adapt it into the KE, be it easy or a bit harder.I don't mind, I am an apprentice mechanic, not too up on the whole carbed engines but I can learn and want to :) only thing with the US is that the currency is stronger against the euro now so parts aren't that cheap anymore, plus shipping will be a god awful killer :(
  9. hi all, I recently got a ke30 and will be restoring the body before I sort out the engine etc, but I like to do my research first before I do anything :) I got the ke30, and the last owner also had a rusty-beyond saving ta22 celice ST there, with the 2t-b engine...1600 vs 1166cc and crossflow engine, hemispherical head design etc so all the right ingredients to get a nice bit of power out of... now the reason I want to put this into the KE is because he was originally going to do this, and offered I can have the full running gear to go with it. now while i am mechanically minded and all, I want to know is this an easy swap, both wiring-wise and propshaft wise...??the mounts seen to be pretty similarily positioned, although I heard the sump is different so I could run into a spot of bother with the subframes?i have the celica subframe to take too so i'm not too worried about that though. also, would it be wise to use the celica back axle with the engine and gearbox combo aswell, or use the probably old and weak 3k diff/axle? many thanks to any replies peeps, regards, Nicky
