  1. i'm in albury at the moment but i go back up to sydney every now and then. i don't know what gearbox it is, its the T18's original box.contacted DELLOW and they couldnt help me, despite someone on this site selling W55 and b/housing for 3TGTE. old owner said it bolted straight up to the motor as theyre both 3TC and 3TGTE are same rear end. that was seven years ago and havent had a problem besides the detent lock on third ( have to to go back to second to go to third, if in fourth/fifth). ive got a replacement ct20 for the meantime while waiting for a mate at SNORT performance to do my fabricating. its intercooled, but its small, like around 250x180x50. also, a point on my dizzy was arcing out onto the airflow meter, through the spark lead's boot. it was jumping a good 25-30mm. is this common? ive never seen anything that extreme....
  2. thanks for your help, seems these motors are good as stockos and nothing more. had a look at BRD and couldnt find much. are the 2T series and the 3TC similar in any way besides capacity, eg valvetrain, cams, timing gear etc. also, i don't suppose a 4A series or 3SGTE aftermarket turbo exhaust manifold would fit to the 3TGTE would it? wishful thinking.......
  3. Hi everyone. I'm new and fairly amateur to the forced induction scene, as i grew up around NA V8s, but am a diesel/ petrol apprentice mechanic, so i have the basics. ive recently picked up a t18 with a 3tgte in good roadworthy nick, and I'm finding it extremely hard to find parts of any sort for both the engine and the car. i wanted to know what a good turbo upgrade would be whether it be bigger toyota or a garrett of some sort. also wanted to know if the motor utilises a t3 flange as standard. are there any sites available worldwide that supply any aftermarket performance parts or do i have to go custom all the way. At the moment the car is running 10psi on 1st stage boost and 19psi on 2nd stage, but lately it has been spooling alot later than normal (approx 3400rpm as opposed to 2900)and 2nd stage boost drops to around 14-15psi at 6-7000rpm(is that normal), what could be the cause of that. can the supra w57 or w58 box mate to the T50 bellhousing? what is a good LSD that can fit with as little number of hassles as possible ( and possibly disc rear as well). it has 147 rwkw and everyone that knows everything about nothing thinks I'm going to blow the engine, but the last owner has had it set up like this for the last 7 years ( thankyou peter howard) and he only had 1 problem with it. is 19psi a little excessive? there is someone who has this engine in a ta22 that was tuned at the same shop mine was that pushes 38psi ( can't get in touch with them) and someone in melbourne with 500bhp from this engine. i am trying to attain relible 350bhp/ 250rwkw therabouts. any info would be greatly appreciated.
