I'm not really ready for all that yet, I'd really just like to get the engine running before I think about modifying anything. Parrot: Do the 3k and the 1k carbs flow the same amount and bolt up the same way?

So, I have a KE17, It has a 1K in it, and I'm trying to rebuild the carburetor but this carb hasn't been run in 30 or so years, so I'm having some issues with that, lol. I've been looking for a refurbished carburetor to replace it in case I can't get it back together, but there doesn't seem to be any available. I know the displacements are different in each of them, does that mean the carburetors are different? I can get a remanufactured one for a 3k for like 165$ (US currency). Would it fit and WORK on my 1k?

I have never heard of EITHER of these things. People PAINT whitewalls on? I feel like that would look terribly sloppy and be very inaccurate? I looked up whitewall inserts just now, and I like that idea a LOT, because I go through tires very quickly on the FC, Lol...

I WISH! You can't hardly find whitewalls over here anymore AT ALL! I'd love to find some for my FC RX-7, Lol!

Thanks to everyone for the great interest in this car, lol, I never thought I'd receive so many comments. My current plans for this car are to get it running, lower it, some decent wheels, and drive it like it is for a little while. After I get it driving, I'll slowly start converting it into a track rat with a full cage, good suspension (gotta figure that out, lol), and I really like the idea of building up a 4K or a 5K, just to do something different. I also have a turbocharger from an S12 Silvia/Gazelle sitting around in my garage that I have thought about slapping on it. Just for Shiggles. Whatever I decide to do, I will definitely be keeping everyone posted. Thanks again for all the help and support! :wub:

My name is Pierce Ford, and I live in Richmond, Virginia, which is almost literally the other side of the world from most of you. I recently bought a 1969 Toyota Corolla Sprinter for 300$, which allegedly has only 320 ORIGINAL miles on it (Sorry, I don't know what that is in kilometers, lol!). I'd appreciate some info as well, does anyone know of a forum based in the U.S. that deals with these cars? I'm going to need a lot of parts, and I'd like to not have to ship everything from Australia if I don't have to, lol.
