thanks very much for the help guys :) anyone know of any guides to cleaning up the engine bay? (yes the pic is my actual engine)

yeah i did but every pic on the net 4ag's didnt look the same as this one the exhausts all came out the sides not out the front, now i realise its cos they were all in rwd so it wasnt facing east west righto thanks eveyone :) which section would that be in? the search isnt coming up with anything usefull about basic upgrades, its all about forced induction :(

Now the question is whats the cheapest and best way to get some more ponies out of it? And what can i do (without too much mechanical knowledge) to tidy up that engine bay?

aha all the pics i seen of 4a's must have been in rwd's thats why they werent facing easty west and all the exhausts were off the side...

I got a 87 rolla seca off a mate for next to nothing, it goes like hell and i thought it had a 4ag(N/A) in it at first but after checking it out I'm not sure what engine it has, still a 4 banger east west engine but the extractors come out the front towards the radiator then curve back down under it??? i looked all over the net and this site but can't find a pic like it. ill try and post a photo of the engine asap

so the 4agze is the way to go, how much would a front cut and conversion cost? or would it be cheaper to just buy a 4agze rolla? and i have raced him in the supra, nofun when its not a challenge :)

i just picked myself up a 1986 AE82 CS corolla hatchie and I'm researching about a engine for it, the one in there has a bit of zip however i bet my mate i could beat his magna which pushes out 170kw, so its on :) ive looked at the 4AGZE with its supercharger and i was wondering how hard it would be to get one in there. or better yet is there a faster one to chuck in? any help is appreciated.
