  1. Good evening, all As the title suggests, I'm looking for a mechanic in Adelaide to do the tricky, after market bits to my Ae71, but am not having much luck. Something near the city would be excellent, but am willing to travel within reason. Cheers!
  2. Good morning, gentlemen. I recently purchased the above Weber carbie after reading the rollaclub wiki, and was hoping to get a bit of light shed on what work needs to be done to have it fitted to my (for now) stock 4k engine. I'm sort of relying on this to get my car back on the road, so whatever help I can get would be excellent. Thanks!

  4. Nah the exhaust is just onto the stock manifold, but if I knew what extractors to get I'd pick them up at the same time!
  5. It has a two inch exhaust, so it has a bit more power than complete stock. It usually runs really well, but recently it's been real stuttery in 1st and 2nd. Plugs and points were changed really recently, so I don't think it'd be that. I was hoping to get a bit of of extra power out of replacing it, but it doesn't sound like that'd be the case?
  6. Good afternoon / morning gentlemen, I realised this query would be better suited for this forum, rather than "Wanted to buy" so.. I've just been advised by my mechanic that I'm going to need a new carby in the very near future, but he wasn't able to help me very much as to where to get one. I've searched the forums and even resorted to searching Google, but to no avail. I figure if I'm going to be replacing the standard one, I may as well make it a decent one, so if someone could point me in the right direction and help me figure out what is going to be best, I'd appreciate it a lot. Bear in mind, the engine is still pretty well stock, but I will be doing what I can to it to give it a little extra eventually. Cheers guys!
  7. That link you posted before doesn't post outside of the US or Canada. But if I can find somewhere that does, for that price, I'd be on that.
  8. These are the particular wheels I had my eye on. From what I've been told / read, they sound like they'd be what I'm looking for. Like I said, I'm happy to lip the guards if need be, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rota-GRID-Classic-V-15-x-8-4x114-3-0-AE86-KE70-/150671618558?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2314ba71fe Was also looking at picking these springs up, as as far as I'm aware, they're going for a pretty good price, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TOYOTA-COROLLA-AE-70-KE-70-F-R-LOW-30mm-LOWERED-COIL-KING-SPRINGS-/160763827014?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256e455346 Thanks for all the advice guys! I'll be sure to post photos once I get it all sorted!
  9. @ B.L.Z.BUB Looking at the car on that thread, I think the wheels on the 70 I posted might be bigger than 15x8. Although it doesn't look like the white 70 has had very much guard work done, which would be ideal, because I'd rather not attach flares to the guards. Both cars look excellent though! :P
  10. This is exactly how I want the wheels to look, as I said, I don't know how much they've lowered this particular one, and I don't know what size those wheels are, but I'm prepared to roll the guards if need be!
  11. Ah excellent, that makes a lot of sense. Well the wheels I'm looking at are on eBay and the description is as follows: Rota GRID Classic (V) 15x8, 4x114.3, +0. I can only assume that they'd fit okay, even after I've lowered my car by 30mm or so. If you know of any better / cheaper places to get these particular wheels from, feel free to let me know! But I thought brand new for $750 + $99 postage was pretty reasonable.
  12. I was looking at getting springs that would lower it 30mm. It's the zero offset side of things that I don't understand, but I can google that :P Thanks so much for the info, I'll do some reading and see how I go. I know exactly how I want it to look, because I have photos to go by, but getting it to that point is beyond me. Thanks again @ B.L.Z.BUB!
  13. Hi guys, I'm pretty hopeless with with sizes of wheels and everything that goes with it, so I guess I just need advice on exactly what size / width etc of wheel would be best suited for my KE70. Does anyone here have experience with putting these on a KE70, and could advise exactly which width I would need to go with, and also any other work that would be needed. Cheers in advance!
  14. Oh cool, thanks for that, AAA exhausts are pretty close to me so I'll probably just go with them depending on when they can get it done.
