  1. Update time!! The motor is back together and its drivable!! So I'm pretty happy. Only problem is that it running on 3 cylinders because one of the spark leads ends that go I to the coilpack unit has snapped -_- so I know have to rider new leads. Besides that there just a few little things to get her back on the road :) Today I went and met Joel (pmp16). Such a rad guy!! Very very helpful and I learnt abit more about my beloved ke11:) After talking with Joel and his mates I know have a few things to sus out in regards to steering (more lock), suspension, brakes and diff to handle decent power. Now to start saving to get a diff made and some coilover!!!! Matt
  2. today i spoke to my mate whos and engine builder and got the finer details on thats getting do to the head. Head is getting a full clean, sandblasted, pressure tested buff and face valves, cut valve seats, facing head and machining the tappets. once this is done thats one more thing ticketed off my list of things to do :) been doing a bit of research into making coilovers and getting some decent lock happening too. the 3 point turns are are starting to get annoying.
  3. So over the past few days I've been slowly pulling the motor apart to workout what this problem is. Head cam off and the head gasket was fine, so it's either valve stem seals or piston rings. If its the valve stem seals the head will be getting completely stripped and built with aftermarket goodies :) I'm not sure why my it's not letting me post pics up off my iPad :(
  4. Thanks Reed :) was funny seeing peoples faces when they walked up behind and and saw the motor. so, ive been speaking to some different people and I'm not thinking about just putting a 20v or a standard 16v gze in there with my turbo setup to get it back on the road. also, trying to find a h165 complete diff if anyone knows of one around!! Matt
  5. where is the best place to find 4ag parts? coming from a Nissan , I don't know where to look
  6. so today I decided to pull the turbo and manifold off to see weather it was the turbo that was the problem. Turns out there was a shit load of oil on the 4th cylinder spark plug and in the 4th port going to the turbo manifold. so it's looks like I'll be pulling out the piston next Saturday to have a look.
  7. shes going good man, still running the same boost and diff atm though. i took it down to a mate that works at jdm garage and he was having a look and told me it was a t25. dosent matter though. a turbos a turbo :) Thanks Joel :) yeah i was working at the hyperdome for a few weeks.
  8. Yesterday I changed the diff oil and the engine oil and filter. Went to drive to work this morning and noticed it was blowing smoke. Got home and after having a play around, I've blown the turbo :( but on the plus side, I now get to get a bigger turbo:)
  9. Yeah its awesome fun, only running 5psi atm because its only running the stock 40yr old diff. Traction wise, its not actually that bad atm. at 15psi it'll be mental :)
  10. Thanks mate. It definitely catches people off guard when it spools up haha
  11. Plans for the future. Complete stock interior All body work and fresh respray. Shortened yr22 tarago diff with altezza 2way centre New suspension and steering up front (coil overs etc) Cams Tune And hopefully it'll make 200kw+ atw Matt
