  2. other option would be to just buy something already engine converted(not necesarily 4age). could get something regoed to use as daily as well.

have seen one with 4agze for $8000 and 4age's for as little as $3500. worth lookin around.

and if ya ripping all that a/c dash stuff out can i have the heater core if it's any good? mine leaks... :)

u can if u want but 1 of the radiator inlets were broken during tear out(i got careless)

its urs if u want it

  3. 4age conversion is very easy,i did mine over easter last year. first motor wasn't so good but got another front cut for $400. i think japparts in lambton had a couple of fwd 4age corollas there. mine ended up costing me about $3000-4000 to convert. would love to turbo mine but funds aren't there at the moment. if ya need any help just send send me a message,am in newy too.

    this is my engine.

thanks will check out japparts lambton will most deff need help with the conversion

  4. lol!! You tell us what you think you can spend on an engine conversion and then we can all have a laugh..

Either you put out say $2000 for carbs/cam/exhaust & a motor freshen up....

or you put out $10,000 for a motor transplant.

It depends on how much you can do yourself. Can you strip & rebuild a motor with new pistons/bearings/head job and modify inlet systems with a bit of engineering??

Can you spend weeks researching which steering systems can be fitted to clear your Evo or whatever motor, what brakes and suspension you will need to get it engineered (that's on top of the $10,000!) and can you wire up an aftermarket ECU so it works??

Start off with this sort of stuff and work your way upwards...

now that i think bout how long it would take and the fcuk around with it all i don't got enuf cash or time or experience

i got bout 4-5k to spend on the car itself

  5. my budget is real small so I'm kinda trolling wreckers for cheap/free parts but i can spend bout 4-5000 on it at most

i was just thinking of getting a half-cut and useing everything off that but I'm just a bit shy on the price of them

thinking bout maybe a sw20 or ca18det if i can get them for a decent price

  6. Just think of the rust as more weight reduction

So what motor are you looking at to put in?? It all depends on how much you want to spend on it i guess

rust is lighter then carbon fiber :lolcry:

was thinking bout putting a evo engine in it if i can get 1 cheap enough, though I'm getting some input from others bout an engine convertion

i just need something that will develope at least 180rwkw anything over that will do

  7. thats true I'm sheding the pounds as fast as possible

thanks for the win but its a 4k-c not 4ag

i worked all yesterday to tear out as much as possible started at 7 finished at 9

there was a complete dash here before the next thing to go is the whole a/c unit
