k iv been away and still no reply has this not hapenend to anyone else ???

ohh k could be that I'm a shit driver then hahaha iv talk to a few people who have the same prob though might be a certin manufacturing period that they are a little dodge

OK seems a pretty comon prob that 2nd gear syncro goes in an AE101 gear box i know mine has seen beter days, this may seem like a silly question but has any one looked in to why???, coz my father in laws has shit it self but he drives like a granny!!! coz I'm sure quick shift high revs from first to second will stuff any gear box but the 101 seems to be a little brittle!!! :jamie:

just a thought, if they are cracked without missing bits it might be a quick fix to get it plastic welded from underneith, although make sure the plastic welder is good some of em can be ruff as. P.S i feel lucky mine was cracked but my old man found me one in tamworth at a wreckers ( cheers dad ) although did cost me $ 70 :jamie:

the reverse thing is coz the reverse idler gear on the counter shaft is srtaight cut so its hard to get in and also it has to run off one of the forward gears so in a way u are lining up two gears so if first dosent work go to second u should get it aftr that. as for u slowing down thunk in 2nd check or your rear stabilizer bar bushes one may be shot and when u brake its moving ??? just a thought :jamie:
