Awesome,read this whole build thread from day 1... I also have a 79 ke30 with the 3k, fun little car , it to will be built for rally , but not to your extent, wonderful craftsmanship. I can say I've learned quite a few new things to do to my KE ... Thanks for putting in the time to educate.

While I was searching for coilovers I came across a company called ground control , for the front springs minus the strut cartridge they were 199 US dollars even came with the collars to adjust, it said on the website the springs were manufactured by eibach, so am I going crazy here , a decent strut cartridge and I have a set of coilovers... Anyone have any experience with this product, tax money is gonna come soon and I may order these

hey everyone, ive had my 79 ke-30 for about 6 months now, the rear shocks are shot and when i hit a decent bump i get a nice bump stop back rattle... should the leaf springs hold more than that even though the shocks are worn, I'm replacing the shocks this weekend with some KYB shocks.. thanks

Looks like ill be racing next year, I need to upgrade the motor as well, the little 3k isn't gonna do me any good, I want my car to be quality and safe, not to mention pass inspection , thanks for the info

Yea the local shops here in Montana want 1800 dollars, I've seen them online for 650 , just none for my ke-30 ill look up bond and see how much they charge to ship..thankyou for the info

ive looked all over the internet for a rally spec roll cage for my ke30, anyone have any ideas on who makes a good pre fabbed roll cage, i do not have a tubing bender so ill have to order one and fit it myself, thanks

You guys probably don't have saturns over there, yes its fwd, 1.9 litre product of gm ...I was gonna use the calipers off the front of the Saturn and see if they'd work on my ke30 ...sorry

i have a 94 saturn any chance the brakes will swap over the saturn is 4wheel disc, or any other parts before i scrap the car!

bad news , the head was cracked, there isnt alot of engines to choose from here in montana, I'm out of options for now, there's a rally in idaho this summer and it isnt looking good unless i just leave the 3kc in the car and do some modifactions, exaust, carb, and cam.

What are these motors going for in price ! I don't wanna pay over what there worth..

Hello gents I'm going this weekend to look at a 2tc , the engine is out of the car, any appaarent things I should be looking for besides the basic block crackage...

yes i am a noob and no i don't know anything about "K" series motors, i grew up around keith black and arias, so any help from anyone would be greatly appreaciated , there was a thread on here i found that i cannot find again and ive been searching , it was a complete write up about the k series motors, differentials and gearboxes, can anyone post that link! thanks

sounds like a better option thankyou! , then i wouldnt have to change gearbox or differental ...now if i can just find a 5k to suite

hello everyone, my name is boone, I'm new here and this is my first post, i have a 1979 corolla with a 3kc engine a u292 and a k50 gearbox, my question is, could i get 80hp from this engine with engine balancing, cam, ignition and a weber so i can atleast go rallying, or would it be better to buy a 2tc or 3tc... my problem is finding the 2tc or 3tc, my budget is there but its more or less finding the parts as i live in motana and there isnt alot of salvage yards, i really wanna stay with the RWD! thanks in advance.
