Hi guys, I'm new here so forgive any forum etiquette that I may be missing. Just thought I would share a few pics of my Ke30 that I just got this week. Ive been wanting one of these since I was a little kid. This is also my first car, so I'm a bit of a noob in this department. Its a 1978 CS model. On the clock it says its only done 57 000k's and the owner told me he bought it off a 70 yo couple. But judging by the engine bay and seats I believe it to have done 157k. My future plans are to keep the car as original as possible but do am engine conversion maybe a 13B. The original owner had the sun visor and the fender mirrors, which I have now removed due to personal taste. I will be looking to sell these items, but I will make a separate post later. I also just put on the rollaclub stickers. I was also wondering do I have to put lead in the engine ? Or is unleaded fine ? Also there is a button near the key, is that a manual choke or just a button to release key ? Let me know what you guys think of it and I would like to know how much you guys would have paid for this car. Sorry for long post, thanks for help in advance. cheers, Mus.

Appreciate the help guys. The car is actually in melbourne while I'm in sydney. My mate will have a look at it tomorrow and if he likes it we'll buy it and get it freighted. Apparently the current owner has owned it for 6 months and said he bought it off a 70yo couple who had had it since new. I did a REVS check but as its an old car their system didnt return any data, other than the fact that its currently registered and has no money owing on it.

Hi all, I'm buying a '78 Ke30, the owner insists that its only done 56 000 original K's. As I'm pretty sure the clock only goes to 99 999, is there any way to know or see how many times the clock has been around ? The exterior of the car is in near minnt condition. Interior has cracking on top of rear seats, no dash damage. Engine also has minor oil leaks. Cheers, Mus.

yeah pretty sure, reg sticker says 78. don't have pic of build plate. was able to do a rego check on vic roads website for free.

Hi all, Ive tried to do a REVS check for a 78 corolla by entering the VIN which was: KE30XXXX, but veda advantage says their is not data matching with this number. Bastards have still charged me $23. Is their any other way of checking the history of these old cars ? and am I entering the right number ? thanks!

Hi guys, Sorry about this newbie question but I'm just wondering is it possible to fit the grill of an earlier model Ke30 (74,75) into a later model (78,80). Also can a Ke55 1980 model be made to look exactly like a ke30 ? thanks, Mus. P.s I'm WTB a ke30, location: sydney.
