  1. Yeah, I have odd tyres on the front, and one is an Australian Out of Rounder. Might be that. It starts at 105 km/h. Finishes at 120km/h. Mark
  2. Turned out to be the fault of the A/C condensor. Old T/stat working nicely again.
  3. Hey fellas do you think that a worn CV joint would cause "whel ballance" type vibration? I just had the wheels balanced. Stayed the same after as before. Mark
  4. Pulled out all the firewall forward A/C stuff. Cool as now. Thanks fellas Mark!
  5. Thanks mate, I guess I have more jobs to do! Matrk
  6. Yeah, the new thermostat was working correctly, but it was running slightly hotter. But it appears substantially different to the original. It also open faster on a test (before I put it in). I am leaning towards a slightly blocked radiator, at this stage. Mark
  7. Why put the old one back in? To see what -if any -difference the T/Stat made to the overheating issue. The new thermostat is "part number correct" for this engine. Its appearance is very different to the original. The new thermostat made the engine run slightly hotter. I also replaced a faulty thermostat gasket. Mark:)
  8. Hey fellas, 4afc motor in the Rola 94 model Manual. it goes to a bit over half way on the gauge, when driving it cools down, then gets hot again when it slows down. The standard T/stat is 300k's old. It doesnt close fully. I put a new T/stat in at first. It went straight to (just over) 1/2 way, and stayed there. No up or down. Took the new T/stat out, and put theold one back in. Any ideas? Mark
  9. Can ya fit an electric fuel pump to these engines? I don't mean EFI pump. Is it possible to block off the fuel pump hole with a blanking plate? The mechanical pump has 3 hoses coming out of it . Plus fuel lines. Mark
  10. I contacted "Jeez" as suggested, but no info there. "Reckons he only works on donkeys). :) Its the hose that goes- from the thermostat area- to the water pump. It goes into a pipe that runs under the manifold, that pipe then joins another another hose -that goes- to the pump. I will fit it today, if noone has any tips to keep some skin on my hands? Mark :)
  11. can't get good photos because of the location of the hose. CH2297 is the jigger..
  12. OK Thanks Mystic, Yeah, the oil seems to be leaking from above the gasket/seal thingy. I havent looked yet, but thats where its coming from. I guess need to pull it off to check it :) Mark
  13. Got one. Now- any tips on how to make fitting a bit less painfull? Mark
  14. LOL. I have to replace it. The oil leaking from the fuel pump, has softened the hose. I replaced the little one. The bigger one is a different story. Got to find one first. Mark
