  1. yes the body will remain completely stock, i may even remove the rear wing that the GTI's have, make it look even stocker :2thumbs: engine mods are a different peice of pie. remember, my aim is to pwn nubs! legally of course
  2. regarding ae86's. i wont be drifting, so its purely for the looks, and when considering a half decent 4AC example sprinter costs ATLEAST $4000. 4AGE ones sell for close to $7000. it can get pretty expencive really quickly. I'm not using FWD because i like the. id rather a rwd, but its not a buying factor. for what I'm going to do with the car, it doesnt really matter which one it is. it just has to have punch, and to get a ae86 side by side with an SX or GTI it will cost alot more then them cars alone.
  3. whoops, forgot about them lil ones. does it have the factory sport suspention tho?
  4. alrighty, i have been on the prawl for an ae86 sprinter purely because i like the look of them. i do not drift however take corners like a housefly  and like to pwn the odd bogan in his VL or whatnot, with what looks to be a lil' econobox at the moment i own a ae92se 4AFC 1.6l carby corolla. this is currently my first car that i have owned for a while now (about 3yrs), and after countless burnouts, handbraeak turns and reverse donuts, my gearbox has (understandably) become alil notchy. now, after seeing first hand the amount of abuse this lil corolla has taken it kinda makes me want to stick with the toyota side (who wouldnt??? :) ) now, i considered buying a 4age 20v front cut from a ae101 and transplanting that over. question? 20v or 4agze??? second question. should i bother, or, because i know the gearbox is a tad notchy purely because i drive the car every day (dad or mum can't tell at all) should i just fully service the car (all fluids etc) and sell her off (ohh my gawwd!) and purchase a ae92 gti or corolla sx or use that as a starting base???? i / family / flatmates hav more than enough tools / mech know-how / expeirence (I'm doing electrical engineering, flatmates are doing mech engineering) benefits of selling car for a ae92gti / SX - overall cheaper - cheaper insurance - no stuffing around benefits of keeping car and buying frontcut - ill fully replace external parts of the engine such as water pump, timing belt etc - quicker (slightly) - keep my mighty first car going even stronger! (more fwd burnouts anyone?? :) ) what do you guys think? one of these plans will happen. i just need some external advice :) so plse talk realistically. the car wont be modified heavily, purely because of low resell value. cheers guys!
