Definitely catalytic converter. Mine does the same thing... it did it since new. Its normal. If you smell raw pump fuel... and then smell quality racing fuel... the pump fuel smells like shit... thats the sulphur. Can't do anything about it.

It has nothing to do with the IAC. Its just to prevent ice from forming on really cold days. Yeah my 2003 rolla does the same thing... i don't like it!. I think its really stupid that Toyota did that... no other cars do that. Its not needed. There were times when my car would hit like 2300rpm on start up!!. Ridiculous.
