  1. Parrot, are you aware if the bottom parts are the same as the 2TB engine?
  2. Yes, it seems so...it also seems i´m not going to keep it for too long...it´s a shame on toyota for this :\
  3. Wow! Is the 3TC the same chains/tensioners? Are you sure parrot?I don´t know a lot about this parrot, but i wanted to purchase the whole parts list that goest in there, i guess something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PEG-TOYOTA-1979-82-1-8L-1770cc-3TC-4-Cyl-Timing-Set-76003-/131676811939?hash=item1ea88cb2a3:g:hvQAAOSwZ1lWb~8U&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-TOYOTA-COROLLA-1-6-1-8-2TC-3TC-TIMING-CHAIN-13506-25010-/162247196193?hash=item25c6afbe21:g:fuoAAOSwzaJX6MDa&vxp=mtr But there´s still missing the upper part of it, that one i saw it when i removed the cam cover, a chain and a tensioner. I don´t want to abuse you, but since i don´t know much about this and i see you do, can you send me the "to buy list" in links? Thanks in advance
  4. It´s a 2TG, i´ve looked a good part of the internet so far...and saw nothing :(
  5. I need one of these kits and i´m not finding it anywhere for sale... My chains are a bit loose, and the mechanic says its best to put all including tensioners... Do i have to sell the car? :(
  6. Alright tojo2, i´ll have a look at it probably this week. Thank you :)
  7. Hi tojo2, i looked and there´s nothing written on it(at least that i can see), is there any way of knowing that just by looking at the casing?
  8. Alright parrot, thank you. I´ll be here also because from what i can see in google, this is the forum with the most info, but i will sure check that one to see if i can do business over there ;)
  9. It´s a start, sure it helps! I just hope i find one of those in EU, because ordering from NZ...lol, it would take more than a month to arrive here, and shipping... :\
  10. Howdy all, i got a TE71 Liftback(like this one: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/VRw0mqTqP9I/hqdefault.jpg), it´s an 1981 model so it´s a "1 series". I´ve been doing some things the car needed, and now i´m starting my "real project", a fun car for an ocasional sideways fun. One thing i noticed was the gears are a bit long wich doesn´t help much for what i want/need, i checked my diff ratio by counting the turns and it´s a 4.1. That said, is there a diff(only the pinion) that will fit plug&play and gives me a shorter gear ratio? Pardon me, but my technical english is very poor... Thanks in advance.
