It's cast iron. I'll ask the panel beater at work about welding it, though I've seen some of his welds and maybe I'll try my hand at it. Thanks for the reply

Hi. I'm pretty bew to this but I've had a 2001 sportivo for about 9 years and had a couple of turbo problems about 4 years ago. I've finally got the time to actually have a look at the car and it seems I've got a large crack in the exhaust manifold. I believe this is the cause of my "turbo" problem, from everything i know about how a turbo works i think it's a pressure problem and the crack in the exhaustmanifold is the only real problem i can diagnose. Does anyone know where i could get a new manifold for cheap or is it something I'm going to need fabricated?
