Your ignition timing should be 8 degrees BTDC. Your timing marks start at 0 and go up in 5 degree incriments. There should be a round dot between 5 and 10 degrees to show you the correct timing. If you run your timing to advanced your motor will ping it head of under load.

Hi Fellas My naime is Rob or you can call me mav. I am a mechanic. I just moved to canberra and found this fine site. Can't wait to meet people with the same interests. I have a 81 KE70 corolla that is yellow. It is in poor condition but i enjoy it all the same and can't wait to mod it. looking foward to going to some meets if i can get a comformation on time and locations. :bash:
