Tuff little car man. Hydro clutch sounds interesting.
-
Whats been happening Davros?
-
Ben it’s Ash/Classic_King. Glad to see your enjoying this thing so much.
Catch ya next week if ya still coming up.
-
Yeah that’s the thing.
If it’s needle and seat or float level doesn’t it overflow from the bowl out the venturis?
Fuel was coming out the venturis befor I put new needle and seat in, adjusted float level and installed a regulator.
Now it’s just dripping from acc pump jets.
-
Accelerator pump jets dripping during closed throttle/ idle.
Whats the most likely cause? The check balls in the circuit look ok. Could it be the accelerator pump intake/discharge valve? Though they seem to be ok (can only blow through one way).
Just wanted to check before I order new ones.
Any help appreciated.

Will be well worth the wait by the sounds.

Nice work mate. I wanna see a vid when the engine is running sweet.
Rota's are just so cool. If only they didn't use so much fuel.
-
Nup. The accelerator pump only squirts into the primary throat on a DGV.
If you had a 38/38 DGAS where both throttle plates open together, then the accelerator pump squirts into both throats.
I'd check your secondary idle jet for blockages. Maybe try a larger one.
You da man. Thanks dude.

Got a 32/36 on a 3T-C and noticed that when the secondary throttle is opening (after half throttle) the secondary accelerator pump jet doesn’t squirt fuel. Primary pump jet is sweet.
Seems to be a slight stumble between primary and secondary and thought this would be why.
Got 50/60 idle jets which I think should be about right.
So yeah is the secondary accelerator pump jet supposed to work on these things?
Help appreciated.

F*&king cool!

have a coarse finish on driven surfaces which is very bitey.
Do you mean like a coarse machining of the flywheel? Is that with an organic plate?
-
Good to hear Felix.
I like how you've done a cheap, simple but effective build.
So does the KE3X centres fit the KE1X diff's? Is that Jap or Borge Wornar? Did ya use Ke3X axles cut down?
I'm sick of breaking stock KE10 diff's

Haha Trev. I'll have to upload some more pics.
Yeah sorting these carbs out is about the only thing left.
I got the old bushes out. The outside diameter is 14mm and inside is probably supposed to be 9mm or something as the shaft is 10mm.
A mate suggested using brass instead of plastic. Might be worth a shot.
-
Thanks fellas.
Teflon ay. Wander where ya get that from?
Should be able to find PVC or something at the hardware.
-
Hay
I’m trying to work out where to find new plastic bushes for the linkage shaft on a Weber manifold.
I don’t know what brand the manifold is but was told it came from America.
I looked through a Redline parts catalogue but couldn’t find anything.
Hope I don’t have to get new ones made from scratch (machined).
So does anyone know where I might be able to get these darn things?
Help appreciated.
-
Kelpro mount, part number MT8009, bolted in fine.
Thanks fellas.
-
Much appreciated.
-
Pretty sure they are.
I’ll order the ke30 ones then. Keep my receipt though.
Thanks man.
-
Got a busted gearbox mount in the KE10.
Trying to order a new one but the earliest I can find is KE30.
Anyone know if they’re the same?
-
Was good meeting ya tonight man. Hope I wasn’t slurring my words too much. I’d had a few.
Hope the Quads are all good. Should be sweet.
-
Cheers for the carburettor today Curly. Top bloke.
Nice rig too. Done very well.
Might catch ya out at Willowbank.
-
This should be the information your after.
XT130 and AE86 have the same strut tube diamiter amoung others. So ae86 inserts can fit xt130 struts.
-
Glad you didn't give up.
-
This is sick man.
That’s some pretty big cams in that engine. Must have a lumpy idle?
