  1. How muck do you want, I also want a 4k flywheel, its too much work going to u pull it just for that.
  2. Depends on the condition and I don't want the block with it r no scratching or dents on it or rust. I'll let you know tomorow I might be able to get a free whole 3k.
  3. are the 3k crankshafts the same as a 4k???
  4. My partner and I have come to realise that we both don't have the time to make the quater panels but can easely do boots and bonets, we also agree that only a few (1-3) of each should be made up, we both now work too long at our day jobs to be doing something so extensive as this. Rest asure that a full progress report will be made with pics for proof staring next saturday, the only time we both have to colect the fiberglass.
  5. I don't see why not, let me and my friend get the new mold up and cranking, a ke-55 front guard for myself. The mold is about as far as I could go, probably not till the following forghtnight for cash (bills to pay) you could bring a camera and post the pics for me that would help me and others a lot too. Will start next thursday so maybe that sunday you could come and see it. I'll pm you the info.
  6. i didnt intend on them becoming a production item, merely a one off thing for myself and a few select others. how was i to know that half the club would be interested, if you don't want it or like the idea, thats all good, you have an opinion too, just don't buy them!!! steel wont last forever...
  7. ROFL!!!! :hmm: ;) :hmm:  :y: :y: :lolcry:
  8. the thing is, with proper manufature, the suspision will not be there that your panel will even be fiberglass!!..... unless you get onto a weigh bridge!! the idea is, not to damage the part! ?how many of you's have been in a serious accident in your corolla involving a full police report on the car? how many of you have been questioned about certain parts of you vehicle after it was in a severe accident??? how many of you have hit something so bad, the panel has torn from the sub-frame??? better yet, have they jsut been little prangs?? ie, dent/scrape, the same scraping or denting to a steel panel will merely deflect off of a fiberglass panel, maybe a crack or chip will occur, in which can be easily fixed with a $20 kit from bunnings!!! noone is telling you that you HAVE to buy these things, but if you see the advantage as i do, i think it would be wise. i don't mean to sound critical, i was jsut throwing out a hypothetical/practical. :hmm:
  9. I fail to understand your criticism, I see 180sx, silvias and all that jazz driving around with the flared side panels that stick uot like a cherry red dogs nut and they don't get pulled up for it. My aim is to make a compleet factory looking set of side panels to dodge the rust and weight factor. The bonnet I made was 99% identical to the original, inside and out and was lined with a heat matt so you couldn't tell them apart. Panels are designed off of ke-55 parts, the bonnet was a ke-30 bonnet
  10. They will fit the same as the stock ports, the bonet was a perfict fit at all 4 corners but didn't mess around with the bonnet latch part he wanted bonnet pins instead. At the end of it he stashed $200 in my tool box, picked up the bonnet and said "see ya some other time". Was a bit much just for a bonnet I thought and he did help a lot but I guess he really wanted it bad and its strong too, we droped it off a roof and only chiped a little corner off. Took 20 mins to fix, strong as and light too. Weight reduction too the max.
  11. Now I'm really sorry but I'm unable to get some pick of my work so far and probably won't bother with the bonnet but within the next month I will do you one betta, a set of steel free, rust free front quater panels. The bonet, yes was just a prototype but also was not mine, it was a friends and when it was finished I was devo, it looked so good and weighed next to nothing and strong.
  12. Hi all. I haven't heard of anyone doing this so I just went ahead and did it without thinking much. Tok me about 2 weeks to compleet without paint but a heap of sanding. Looks just like the real thing with all the bracing under the bonnet and steel plate inserts to bolt the bonnet to the hinges. NO MORE RUST.
  13. So worth the clean up, I noticed that the intake ports are larger than a standard 3k-c head. Valvs look odd too. What would this head be worth?
