nah i didnt, I'm in nz but i don't think it was assembled here

my ke20 wont start, it gets power to the startermotor and that turns over, but i can't get any spark from my leads, there is power going to the coil but nothing coming out of it. so i guess what i am saying is what makes the coil colapse and make that huge aount of voltage come out?

i have no idea how to find out where my ke20 was assembled, it says plant a31, does anyone know where that is/was?
