    The CDs hadn't skipped much before, but we do handle our CDs with care always outside and back in case etc... Thanks for the advice will try cleaning with the metho and bud. What about ne of theose cd disc cleaners? would that work at all? Thanks again..

    Heya, I'm a Corolla fan and have had 6 Corollas in the family an 88/89 twincam (awesome to drive), 88 stocky sedan (was a family beast), 91 corrolla seca (still have), 02 Hatch and now the 2005 ascent hatch. Unfortunately i don't know much about the the stereo systems and my CD player in 05 hatch keeps coming up with an 'error 1' when i insert a cd. Radio works fine and this is about 3 months out of warranty. I don't want to fork out $300 to fix, i hoping someone on here would be able to help me out? If anyone can give me an tips/ideas/suggestion on how to fix this prob it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, PJH :lol:
