  1. today i have narrowed it down to the carb. i am either getting a rebuild kit for it or going to try to find a cheap replacement. any ideas for the later?
  2. well it seems my car has a miss. I have a ke30 with a 2tc engine recently replaced the distributor cap/ rotor and points along with the spark plugs and cables, the carb is set to the factory specs there is no vaccum leak either, timing has been checked as well. It occurs when staying a constant speed when accelerating it does fine and seems to dissappear any ideas? thanks, matthew
  3. yea.. i was just going over in my mind that a lower compression with a turbo would potentially give more high end power but less low end power would that be correct
  4. wow! that ke30 is a beauty :lolcry:
  5. Honestly i am just doing some conceptual work... ... spinning the gears of my brain and such.. thanks

  7. She was driving a 2007 Toyota Yaris. It ripped off the whole front left side from the back of the wheel up. Funny thing was that we ended up driving it over 140 Miles back to the city where we live. After a rigorous adjustment (tearing off parts and tying up others) Should be fixed by weeks end though. just too bad it cost so many $$$ to do so... :/
  8. My car had this same problem IE: running rich and backfiring. I ended up adjusting the timing, Leaning out the mixture a bit and Getting a carb cleaner. After that it has had no problems and performance had actually increased a bit. Although i have a 2tc it could be abouts the same. Good luck :bash:
  9. Yea with modern cars you hit anything and the area that gets hit pretty much shatters and ... yep thats what happened we are all alright thankfully. besides it could have been much worse. 80MPH + Deer = very very dangerous. just glad it didnt come through the windshield :bash:
  10. Alright guys. I'm finally back! Long story short on the way back from a show, My girlfriend hit a deer and ripped of the front of her car. soo.... i eventually we got back to my house.. and i got the gasket on. all went well and the gasket is working well so all is good :bash: just wish i could say the same of her car..
  11. Well looking at the americas section of rolla club it was a little dated... so.. i wanted to try and get as many of the active rollas in north america to post on here hopfullly it works out Year: 1976 Engine: Stock 2-tc Body style- KE30 I am located in Tennessee, USA. I bought this car for about $900 and have been working on it since.
  12. The gasket i ordered was for Just the Exhaust manifold. I have aftermarket headers on the car and it appears that the gasket was installed incorrectly. (Was actually cut in a couple places). just another silly thing that has been done by the previous owner that I'm finding as i work on it. I should have it done by tomorrow and ill check back in with an update. thanks for the swift replies.
  13. Hey Guys, I have a 1976 corolla ke30 and ive been noticing a clicking noise and the car refuses to run at a low idle without a rich mixture. Eventually i tracked it down to an exhaust manifold gasket leak. I ordered the part to replace this and will do it tomorrow, but i was wondering what other symtoms/effects could come from this and if i should change anything else in the process? thanks guys! -Matthew
