I see. Are the gearbox's pretty strong? If I where to get one, i was planning on doing a CAI, coilovers, struts braces, sway bars, Exhaust (including dump pipe), Slotted rotors all round, rims, put the boost up and then it should be sweet to be a street/ track car..

Hi everyone, my name is Chris. I haven't really posted much on these forums or anything. I was just after some info on the AE112R turbo corolla. What are the common issues with this model of car, i have done some research on here and found some issues regard exhaust manifold and ECU, can someone shed more light on these issues? What is the max amount of boost you can run with the standard ECU and injectors ETC? I am really after as much info as i can get.. Thanks in advanced...

Your car is impressive.. how much boost is it running?? I don't think i will be able to get one, as the one I was after is sold and the other one is out of my price range... Unless anyone knows of anyone selling one

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum... Just lately I have been looking at the 2001 Corolla AE112R Sportivo Turbo's, and I just wondered what they are like? How they respond to modifications? How much more boost can they handle? Are the gearbox weak? I was thinking of purchasing a stock standard, and putting an exhaust on, CAI, Bigger front mount (NOT a HUGE one), some coilovers and what ever else i think of. Try and keep it reliable but responsive.
