Hi guys i really need some help.
I have a Toyota Corolla SECA AE92 - With the 4A-FC Engine in it. For a while now it has been playing up, it has a really erratic idle it sounds like its missing a beat constantly and when its driven it pings a lot. There is a chance that the fuel could be the cause of the pinging. But ill get to that part later, i just really want to know how to fix this problem.
I have looked over the engine and There is a small valve (Called the: BVSV - Bimetal Vacuum Switching Valve) underneath the distributor which we found to be broken, we replaced it and the engine when its started runs pretty smooth, once the engine gets to normal operating temp it runs really erratically and has tons of trouble decelerating the RPM. When you watch the Tacho, the needle is not steady, its going up and down and will only stay still when the engine is first started. The only problems that occur while driving is the pinging sound, other than that there is nothing wrong.
PLEASE HELP ME GUYS!! :bash:
