Alrighty guys I'm after some informed opinions towards a solution to my little problem. my sistter has bought a ke30 lastweek, it runs pretty well.. i suggested her to replace alot of main things e.g Ignition coil leads plugs hoses thermostat i got stuck in after work and changed her coil over to the new Bosch GT40R and also changed her leads to top gun high temp leads and plugs it started to run ruff, it idles but you can hear it trying to die everynow and then.. i swapped everything back to original but it still wants to run ruff.. i will have attached a video of the car running so you can understand soon.. thanks very much
  7. calling all people who have done flat front conversion, I have got everything don't but actually bolting my lights on.. mainly cause I'm not confident in drilling the holes has anyone done the conversion can they take some pics of what there set up looks like from behind or where the new holes are located in relation to the big circle behind the headlight etc Any help greatly appreciated thanks guys lucas
  8. alrighty so i have a 1984 ke70 and in the past week she has been playing up. they symptoms go like this doesnt crank at all and if it tries its really slow stalls under 1500rpm wont run with choke all the way in but will idle at 3,500rpm when warmed up but as soon as i put the choke back in as soon as the revs drop below 1500 it will stall even have problems clutch starting sometimes. feels like it also maybe missfiring or running on 3 cylinders? not 100% on that one.. just doesnt seem to run as smoothly when accelerating.. I'm a first year mechanic for toyota so don't work with these old engines at all so not sure about carby problems etc.. will be testing my alternator with a multimeter on monday afternoon to test voltage apparently if its too much below or higher then 14.2 volts then its probably my alternator.. i have an nrma battery with little window on it to tell you if the battery is screwed etc? green means the battery is charged and the little window is green, But car still wont start which either means the battery is lying or my starter is dodgy? any help would be great
