A few months back i installed a cd player into my ke70, worked find for the first 2 days, until i went to skip the song, it just shorted out. Its been like this for a few months now, ive checked all the fuses they are all fine so I'm not sure what it could be.

Other things that also don't work is the digital clock, door light, constant power wire to the cd player, so I'm assuming its the acceseries.

cheers

Have you checked the fuses behind the RHS kick panel?

Have you checked the fuses with a multimeter or test light?

Cheers, A.

One thing that i've learnt is that when you use connectors have the female plug on the positive side of the join and the male connector on the negative side. And then make sure that the join is covered.

If none of the fuses are blown, i'd be checking the wire that has the constant 12v, starting from the stereo connection with a light or something and trace back till you get power. And you'll find the section of wire (or possibly connection) thats blown/melted.

Are you getting power at the accessories position on key ?

Yeah, i just connected the constant power from the cd to the other power cable, so that comes on when i turn on acceseries. But other than that nothing else works.
