It's good news to hear that your wife is back home Colin ! Nothing like having the family environment to help the recovery. But it does makes think a little of my sister and what she has gone through with various hospitals - Gympie, Royal womens Brisbane and the uni one on the Sunny coast (which i highly do not recommend). They, doctors, think it's Celiac disease but they still don't fully know what is going on and of what happened, she needs an aid to help her walk, has difficulty using her hands (fine motor skills are, you could say, shot) Anybody remember the Yahoo user group "Oldcorollas" ? I have an idea that Colin would. Migrated from that to here April 2006. Stayed as a member here when i sold my last, what i thought was my last ever Corolla, but then the daughter decided that her first car, and now second, was to be a '55 and she hasn't hit her leaners yet. Would have sooner her to have gone for a later model like an ae102 or something but it's nice she stayed with the 30-55 style

aka Australia post That's the problem right there. Wait till you have a bill posted to you from a company in Toowoomba to your home address in Toowoomba. It turns up on the due date and yet going by the post mark it was sent 3 weeks ago. And its not a once off thing either.

Agree on that. Agree on the 30 seconds but i have found it safer to take a few seconds before moving off, the number of red light runners in this town begs belief at times and i don't really want me nor my family to be wiped out cause of some phuckwit who couldn't wait.

 I know that feeling mate. Agreed. Thank you for sharing :2thumbs:

Same thing happened to me when i had the twin cam seca. But i didn't get any squealing or anything, i just lost power steering and the charge light came on. The best and cheapest option i has was in swapping the crank out. The keyway and the cranks pulley surface was phucked.

Is An Awd 4Age 92 Corolla Hatch Or Sedan Possible?
towe001 replied to dingeldei's topic in Automotive Discussion
No i was wrong. It was a Nissan NX which was converted to awd. http://forums.mightycarmods.com/showthread.php?10718-FWD-to-AWD-RWD-Conversion But i think the best one would've been a 90's model Mitsubishi Mirage running an 6A12 awd in Britain. I think its half the reason i stepped away from corolla's. No ability to think outside the box. -
Is An Awd 4Age 92 Corolla Hatch Or Sedan Possible?

Its been ages and i've lost the link, with loving thanks to Xmarks for the loss. But it was either http://www.twincam.org/ or http://forum.twincam.org.au/ a forum member had a write-up of the massive job in converting his ae92 hatchback to awd. From memory there was also video of the finished job on the street. -
Superpro doesn't list it http://www.superpro.com.au/?v=toyota-corolla-ke30---1974-1978/999500521 Nolathane has a listing but its the same part number as the rear eye bushing (Maybe send them an email and ask) http://www.nolathane.com.au/do_segue.php?make=TOYOTA&model=COROLLA&model_final=COROLLA+KE30%2C+35%2C+36%2C+38%2C+50%2C+55+%28LEVIN%2C+TRUENO%29&vehicle=11%2F74-11%2F81

Move over downhill trike sliding. We now have "extreme barbie jeep racing"

I'd agree with Clapped Out. The car could be a lot worse then what you can see. Bent rails, bent frame, broken welds, could go on. I'd be getting it checked before anything.

You're about on the money with where the solenoid is. You'll just need to play around with the rod. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/36792-towes-turtle/page__st__60#entry481143

Family Truckster - Toyota Corolla Ae95 Sr5 Wagon
towe001 replied to silverra23's topic in Rollaclub Rides
Wouldn't say no one of these things myself but the wife thinks differently :-( I can understand with the hub centric rings the safety side of it. But when i had my old ae82 seca, i didn't run any hub centric rings on the mags without problems for about 5-6 years. But you never know. http://planetsoarer.com/offset/studs.htm -

Ha, i was talking to my brother the other night of when the wife and i first moved into our home the only real amount of green grass we had was on the nature strip. The front yard was mostly brown and the backyard was just a joke of brown dying grass and dirt. So i watered it and used that weed/feed stuff. Six years later i can't even kill the grass with bloody roundup these days. Infact it thrives on the stuff.
