Hey guys I am planning on installing a 12V electric fuel pump with a oil pressure safety switch, reason is for safety, want the fuel pump to cut out if stalls, loses oil pressure, get into acident etc, the gist of it is, when the oil switch sensors pressure the fuel pump will activate on cranking, then when the cars starts on running the fuel pump will run of the ignition on running, I was just trying to confirm what would be the best place to wire from normally open to ignition switch, is ig2 the power to the distrubutor BO and the running state Holleys Diagram What I am trying to figure out Also steps 6 - 9 is from Holley wiring installation. …

Just purchased my first car, a 1984 cs-x ke70 and was wondering whether some 13x7 hot-wires with -6 offset will fit on it, ideally without rubbing? I have purchased coilovers for it so it will be lowered, nothing too crazy. I could be completely wrong but my thinking was that i'll be able to raise them more depending if they do rub or not. I've seen people running similar set ups, just with more offset and wheel width on the rear (they scraped on decent dumps though). So I believe they will be okay just wanted to check.

WHAT IS THE CORRECT OIL FILTER CAN THERE BE SLIGHT VARIATIONS BUT ALL WORK ON THE KE70 We all know we can use the RYCO Z68 Oil Filter on the KE70 By looking at my parts diagram on Yoshi Parts this is what I found. As you can see the vehicle details are almost correct and correspond to my vehicle specifications with the only difference being the Grade of the wagon which is says DX and mine is a CS Grade. As you can see it states the old part number of the Toyota Genuine Filter you were able to purchase which is 15601-33020 I was able to find photos of the old filter. On the box it states its can be used for a 4KC…

Hello Guys Does anyone have a picture of the vacuum lines running to the right side of the carby on the side of the air/fuel mixture screw, I was playing around with my vacuum gauge tester on the weekend trying to get the highest vaucum, and I think I plugged the tri-connector lines the wrong way, if someone can take a quick snap for me of the vacuum lines I would appreciate it so much. I should of taking a photo beforehand that was my mistake.

Got myself a KE70 wagon with a 4K roughly two years ago as my first project car and have been working on it on and off. The whole time I've been struggling to get it idling nicely. I've refreshed the entire ignition system, replaced the intake maifold gasket and isolated every vac system to elimiate potential vac leaks, but I'm still having issues. Anyway, I notice after the car has sat for a while, every spark plug is either wet with fuel (or oil I can't tell) around the plug and pooling underneath the metal boot thing they sit in. There are also usually carbon deposits around the tip of the plug. After giving them a clean she will idle for a while nicely only to start s…

Probably going to sound like a d**khead trying to explain this issue 😂 So I’ve got a 84 KE70 brought not that long ago. Headlights had started to have a 10- 30 second delay after turning them on from the blinker/wand thingo. Suspected it was a faulty relay, replaced it - Worked for 2 days. Went to leave a friends house last night, headlights didn’t turn on at all. Parker lights work tho. Open the relay box behind the battery and hit the relay and lights turned on again. This afternoon I wanted to double check if they were working, didn’t. Had to turn the car on, hit the relay again and somewhat they turned on after a few hits. Turn the car off light…

since I last owned a Ke70 20 years ago. My question is I have chosen a ca18det engine for my conversion and looking at help into what rear end I should be looking at as I'm sure the standard wouldn't cope. Is there a straight bolt in diff axles and drums I can put in for a bit more more strength?would a carona diff fit and do the job?or and recommendations would be great... I will be putting a big brake upgrade on the front.

Was hoping someone knows of a compatible diff to body brake hose for the ke70. Can’t find one around apart from undergroundgarage.no. Not sure if they’re reliable or not. But it’d also be $100 to get a $20 part shipped to me so was hoping there’s another cars hose that would work also. part no. 47316A cheers for any help.

Hi I'm new to Corollas, and Toyotas in general and I'm buying a Ke 70 that came up for sale for 100€ locally. The main problem is the car has no plates of paperwork to identify it, so i need to find the vin number. Where is it on the car? Its in really rough shape but complete, my plan is to get it back on the road if i can get paperwork sorted. I have some experience with cars (just revived a 1984 Escort, can post a link to video if anyone wants) , but not with locating vins as this is the first time i have had to do so. Thanks in advance.

my 4k in my ke70 idles pretty rough sometimes, to the point that the whole car shakes lol So far ive cleaned out the carb, got the carb tuned by a mechanic, checked for vaccuum leaks (couldnt find anything), checked the timing and i installed a new manifold gasket, none of these things improved the problem. Also, when i press the throttle pedal, it hesitates a bit and then picks up... Does anyone have suggestions?

I have a 1982 KE70 with 4K and 4-speed gearbox. Last summer I used it as my daily and it worked fine. Later during autumn it didn't always start (only made a clicking noise, but the starter didn't always turn over) when I turned the key, but usually after 5-10 tries it started. Sonetimes it started after I moved the car and tried again, but I don't know if this was just coincidence. I put it in garage for winter and after winter took it out cause I wanted to drive it again. First it just made a clicking noise when I turned the key and after some tries it didn't even make that anymore. Now that I have time I took the starter out and tested it with a battery and cab…

Hi. I'm going to change CE70 van S-series rear axle to early Volvo 240 axle. Now I'm after the measurement from wheel mounting face to face on Corolla's axle (Volvo 240 is 1410mm) and if someone has done this conversion? How about tailshaft lengths? Do I need to change rear half of it (= Is Volvo 240 diff nose longer than S-series diff nose)? Are tailshaft rear half's different between KE70 sedan with U-series, KE70 wagon with U-series and CE70 van with S-series? Thanks again!

Hi all, I have a 1981 KE70 and need to know what gearbox oil to use (it has a 4k engine with a 5 speed manual trans). I have done quite a bit of research in the forum, but I need to be sure Is it 80W90 or 75W80 or something else? Any other variable to worry about when choosing the oil? Thanks! Looking forward to your answers

Hey everyone, first time posting but have been coming to rollaclub for ages for advice. Now my problem is that I have an AE71 project where I want to give it raised suspension, the opposite of about everyone else on this site haha. Now if anyone knows of any cheap and not necessarily road legal ways of raising it, short of welding the shocks, that'd be really appreciated. Thanks

Hi there, I bought this part a while back, probably about 6 months ago and I've been searching for it ever since online. Pretty sure it's some kind of rear canard, but I can't find it anywhere. The picture is of it currently on my car... Can anyone tell me what it's from? Such as the brand, maybe where I can find it... is it from another car maybe? Thanks.
