Convertng A Ke20 In To A Te20

Hi all,

I am finally going to get off my butt and start turning my ke20 in to a rally car. I have been given a few options,

 

1. Run it as is with 3k and four speed box

2. change to 4k with same box

3. put a 2T in to her with the same box .

 

as induction is "free" i will be running dual carb's and extractors on any setup I do.

 

My question is what work is required to get a 2T in to my ke20 and mate it up to the 4 speed box I have. I am being give a 2T for free but its out of a auto boxed celica. So before i go and get flywheel and all the rest is it worth my hassle. I know the power would be much better with the 2T. The rules maybe changed early next year so I could even put a 3T crack and pistons in to the 2t and it would still be ok. But if I did this I would EFI it at the same time.

Any information you could give would be great.

hi mate

 

ive just started my new project te20, ive found a 2t with twin webers, extractors and a T50 n the back of it, the car I'm putting it in is a 1971 car witch the old owners set up for a 3t so it allready has all the mods for a hydraulic clutch and so on, they have moved the mounts on the crossmember foward and they have allready slottem the holes to fit the motor, they also made a little block bit for the gearbox crossmember so that the gear box can sit higher in the back to level it out, i have been told that you don't need to move the mounts foward or raise the back of the gearbox to put the motor in but it will make things easier,

ive got a t18 diff to go into it and I'm using ke20 front struts with ke55 brakes and hubs so that it has 114.3 stud pattern

 

I'm going to hopefully have the car ready to go by feb next year
