hay does anyone know what its generaly worth to rebuild an su or two for that matter?

Yeah the Midel guys are the one to talk to.

From memory, I think a fairly comprehensive rebuilt kit including gear fro re-bushing the throttles shafts

should cost you around $85

 

FYI: THere is also a pretty good book on rebuilding and custom tuning Su Carbs - I have the book at home so Ill post the title up for you.
