  2. I'm with gavetron y would it give a diferent reading even in 1st. a dyno just simulates the road, it puts load on your engine and depending on how easily your engine caries that load is how it calculates horsepower if your driving along in 2nd does your car have les horsepower than in 4th? no its got exactly the same amount of power unless mabbee the air tempratuer and pressure change then it will differ slightly
  3. the funiest thing is that there is even more retarded people out there that think he is going to kill his engine if one of his dodgy welds breakes considering its the exhaust side of the turbo
  4. cause if he dosent just get porta walls man they last and look heeps beta than paint!
  5. does this jamie brisban based bloke actualy cut the white wall into the tire?

  10. I'm sticken a single 40mm dellorto on my 4k (stock with extractors and 2" straight through exhaust) it is a 4 speed and i need decide on a cam i found this in the faq and want anyone and everyones opinion "My favorite is my CE701 (25-65 270 degrees adv dur, 0.398" lift) by Camshaft Engineering in Coorparoo, I think this gives a nice balance of LOTS of torque and good strong top end, with peak power at 7500rpm". (sounds to me like a good peak power rpm) who agrees or who disagrees and why/whats betta anyones opinion or views welcome
  11. nah man plenty of space for su's on 1/2 " adaptor on single sidedraft weber manifold the manifold only goes out like half the distance of the old one heeps of space!
  12. i duno man but i just got a set of twin 1 3/4 su's that I'm puting on my 4k and ive been put onto these blokes http://www.sumidel.com/Products.htm they can probably help ya as far as a recomendation goes and for the parts. i have spoken on the fone with them a few times and they definatly seem to know there shit about su's what are you doing about a manifold? as lynx don't make them anymore but they used to manke an adaptor to stick twin su's on a single sidedraft weber manifold ( easy to get from redline) so thats what I'm doing i got a piece of 250mm/150mm/25mm alloy for $10 and I'm going to make my own adaptor i can probably get the pics of the old school lynx adaptor from the dude at my local speed shop ( he showed me in the first place) and email them to ya if ya want let me know
  13. yeh sorry medicine man i should be more specific tho i did post it in a KExx corolla discussion forum so most would just assume I'm talken about a k series engine of some description witch probably all have the same fuel pump! so i will correct "will my standard 4k fuel pump" And yes a lada niva would be very cool you know in there owners manual to change a tyre it says to get someone to help you tip the car over or somthing like that rather than jack it up!!!' (at least thats what i herd) f@$ken russians!
  14. can my stock fuel pump pump enough fuel to feed two 1 3/4" su's at 8000rpm? any oppinions or alternatives?

  20. ok if i had a 5k and pulled the head off to do some porting /valve springs and didnt want to machine it because i don't want to raise the commpresion ratio what so ever do i a) clean the head surface where it hits the head gasket then cheack it for warpage using a straight edge and fealer gauges hoping that its not warped or b) face the fact that i has to be machined there for raising to commpresion ratio c) get it machined and don't wory because the rise in compression would possibly be miniscule? thanks guys
  21. yeah thanks man ive actualy read that befor it just didnt come to mind when i asked myself the question :lolcry:
