If i flip over my top leaf what lowerage height will i achieve?

I'm after roughly 2-3inchs drop from flipping leafs and will make up the other inch or so with blocks

I bought reset leaf springs but they didn't even take me down an inch only (2cm)

I now have 2 sets of leafs so can i incorporate a leaf from the pack to stiffen it up or to use fro the flipping?

Or flipping what leafs gives what height etc?

Cheers any info will help.

me and a mate flipped the top 2 leaves on his 55 and it dropped it as much as my 3inch blocks do, rough as guts and then......canary :P good times

and if your thinking of putting 3inch blocks in....theres no point flipping a leaf caus it will alredy be on the ground!

Well i have a plan lol

Here in NZ 50mm blocks are the biggest you can legally use

I need to do my leafs first and attain a height drop between 2-3inchs via this so i can use smaller blocks to attain my ideal height 3.75ish inch drop.

How was the ride with top 2 flipped?

I'm mainly after my target mark as if I'm sitting on bumps thats illegal height (100m) from ground If i get my desired height with leafs i can just whip out the blocks when it comes to warrants etc.

i seriously hadn't thought of this option and it sounds the best, cheers.

If i take out the bumpstops or chop them will the leafs go lower or do they sit level at the bumps?

Having his car low enough to sit on the bump stops is going to be illegal pretty much no matter which way he does it...

My car sits hard on the bump stops with 2 leaves flipped, so I would imagine it would go a bit lower if you took them out.

Lowering blocks are illegal (at least in ACT) and they provide more sideways movement, which you don't want. The only legal (as far as I am aware) way to lower the back is to get the leaves reset...which is what I will be doing with my wagon

Hey rwd kp starlet I'm on os i seen you I'm requiemk there

Ya i want it sitting just above on bumps as that is just legal height. AM I'm grey zone as i want it legal in a sense that it isnt to low but don't mind how i achieve it (illegal)

Cheers for input

Reverse eyelets.

Just take the top leaf out, take them to a spring joint and reverse the eyelets. This way you keep the spring rate (which you REDUCE when you flip leaves) and you should be able to work out quite easily how much lower it will be.

With the bump stops, reality is, if a cop sees you're half an inch from the bumpys, he'll defect you. Simple.

Cops in Canberra wont defect you for too low unless you are also doing something stupid at the time...even then you have to be unlucky.

I've driven my coupe on bumpstop for well over 5 years.

f@$k MATE!

I live in victor harbor S.A, and if a cop pulled you over here you would get reemed in the arse ay! :)

iv just purchased a ke11 and would love to flip 2 leaves and have it sittin past the guards, but if i just drove like a granny down the mainy goin to donate some money to the local cancer foundation they would still pull me over sooooo quick an defect me and probably go over my whole car lookin over every little thing! (they cleary have nothing better to do)

iv lowered many cars and i usually just flip the two top leaves but with this one ill be gettin lowering blocks an have it sit level with the guards or add leaves atleast it shouldnt look to low and ill probably get away with it.

oh ye and flipping leaves is fun if you want to go over bumps and get air cuz its always trying to push your car up :lolcry:

adding leaves is the way cuz its sooooo mega stiff then you can go really fast round bends :lolcry:

cheers haydo.
