never Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 I have read the FAQ and that weber is listed as being a suitable swap. Does that still apply to a 5k motor though? I am looking for a bit of a performance upgrade that will still be fairly economical... too much to ask? Quote
the Db king Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 i hate to say it but the more performance you get the less economical it becomes, ive got a worked 4k in my ke70 panel van and i get between 250 to 500 k's a tank depending how heavy my foot is at the time, do the obvious first, extractors, exhaust, webber (or some sort of carby upgrade), and cold air intake. any more than that you will have to look under the cam cover, and get some porting done. ae174agze Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 or you could get a cam regrind as well as the first list of things and i'd probably more call it a rocker cover push rods FTW :abuse: Quote
philbey Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Mate, even better, call it a Rocket cover hahahahahaha. The downdraft Webers generally have a good rep for a nice balance of economy and extra power when you want it. As for fitting one, I am guessing you will need an adaptor plate, usually found on ebay or your local parts store (~50 new) TP. Quote
