  1. what i'd start by doing is take the aircleaner off and just really quickly choke the engine with your palm while running it'll stall out a little then rev up slighly this might suck the shit from the jets if there's any or when mine was doing this it could also be the idle control solenoid listen for clicking around the carbie see how you go

  5. nah the old drag strip is pretty much fully developed now few people still go down to the weighbridge every now and again but its really quiet atm
  6. got a few cool pics from the other nite cars running well now, no problems hasnt broken down at all i think the alternator is on its way out, when i'm driving during the day its all good soon as i put the lights on at night the spark breaks down under load so i think i may need a new one pretty soon
  7. nice usable power band there in that datto ahahahah 760hp 1.8L engine that is crazy
  8. quick update, very happy with it been driving it heaps very very fun with the suspension and breaks only had small problem with the dizzy, the spark was breaking down underload so we just replaced the point gaper thingie. the old one was slightly tapered at the bottem and wasnt makeing full contact and now its revving clean just running a little ritch what do you gap the point to, we set it to 14 thow is this too much too less, it seems to be running very well tho cheers

YAY finally got the clutch in and the new master and slave in and working, what a mission because i couldent take the engine pipe off had to lift it up and over was a bit of a prick, everything else when faily nice and easy couple of piccies me shit that finally rocked up all in and finnished flat friggen battery, quick charge tonight and i'll go for a coroll tomorrow as it sits now
  14. update clutch took effen ages to get here so its been slow all last week it arrived on monday, i got it in and just waiting for a mate to come over on the weekend to help me put the box back then then we should be good to roll pics when i can be shitted
  15. jeeez, trust me i went down this path too about a year ago buy and ae71 drive it then do breaks and suspension, the 4agze bolt in but that's the easiest part, you still need a EFI fuel system, rad, exhaust, clutch, wiring and computers n shit few people have no trouble doing it but i had nothing but a headache over it buy a ae71, then start from there
  16. breaks were from a j p s, cost alot don't ask i finnaly got around to getting the friggen box out, bit of a pain in the ass as the fella who did my exhaust cut the flange for the engine pipe so i had to sort of lift it over the exhaust, was harder than it should have been, other thatn that it was pretty good and the clutch was pretty mutch munted no dammage to it just pretty mutch worn flat, and really really shinny, they both where really shinney you can sortta see here that there isnt mutch meat left it was worn flat current pic as of about half an hour agow
  17. i understand, i like drifting burnouts and shit best fun ever, but yess older mob don't know :2thumbs: nice car too
  18. drifting is where its at atm, i see it now as more as a style to have your car, like grandma spec, JDM, drift spec sorta thing
  19. current pic just waiting on clutch parts
  20. on closer inspection today i found that i think a seal in the clutch master gave out not the actual clutch itself the clutch will be changed anyway as it was a little worn out with normal driving also what clutch fluid would you recommend,
  21. well i surpose you'd be wanting some stiff suspension, depending on you budget you can get coilovers, or just tough shock's and springs all from a j p s . com from a decant price and less weight is always a bonus so throw all that pretty shit out and wack a bucket seet in
  22. went to MVR today, was like 2 seconds late and he wouldent let me over, on my drive home the clutch felt really light, and as i was pulling in the driveway giveing it a good slip up the curb it went clunk then nothing, so just been on a j p s orderd a new HD clutch kit, mastercyl and slave cyl, might do a photo log of the job gonna happen over the weekend f@$king cars gonna send me broke
  23. cheers man today i found out that my LCA had drawn a nice big round scrach picture drawn into the back of my break disk, after i took it for a drive thaught i might show you how i fixed it with a sledge hammer  started by jacking the sucker up and taken the wheel off, safty first, jack it brick it with the wheels off i was able to get the 25mm bolt on spacers off got the spacer off and undid the nuts that hold the calliper on whitch ended up like this, then wedged off the cover thingo and undid the nut on the bareing pulled the hub and disk off and fliped it over to see that the LCA had gorn to town on the back of the disk so i got a sledge hammer and tapped the edging in, just enough so the disk wont touch, friend good help aye :S put the sucker back together and where good to go theres probably 7mm gap now so no touching on the break disk this has to be done if you do the rx7 4spot conversion, i found out the hard way, might have to get a new set of disks posten this up just to let you know, cheers fellas
