tacoma_kyle Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 (edited) I just figured I'd inform you guys. There are a few Corona's and one TE27 Corolla at a pick and pull yard in Redding, CA. I didnt pay attention to the Corona's. [TE27] I meant to snag the mirror, but I forgot somehow. It was in good shape. Engine was pretty much in tact, the inside was a little jacked though. Some badges may come off and I recall most of the body was at least straight. As well we the bumpers. Surface rust though. Grill was in tact, but had light fading (badge still there). I recall the tail light assemblies were good as well. I took the gauges and a evap emissions device. And the VIN plates lol (2). BTW are VIN plates of any use to anyone in terms of registering a car? I didnt cut the firewall section out. I suspect within 2 months the car will be scrapped. Usuable overseas? I dunno. I left my camera in my truck, otherwise you'd have photo's. Had a Walbrough fuel pump in the trunk (spelling?). I was mostly going there for a set of MK II Supra seats and some 77 Celica parts. The Celica was gone :y: ....... got the seats though. : :hmm: I am a little north in Oregon so it isnt a easy [meaning cheap] trip back. Edited April 24, 2008 by tacoma_kyle Quote
WinKE55 Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 (edited) BTW are VIN plates of any use to anyone in terms of registering a car? Yes. It shows what codes, where it was from, when it was made and etc.. It is illegal to remove them.. I am pretty sure VIN stands for VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER. So yes.. Oh, and nice Celica.
