hi all my ae71 has been running bad for awhile now just never bothered asking for help :) anyway it won't idle under 1000rpm ever atm it sits around 1000-1300 rpm and it's alright there, it also seems to be running pretty rich due to petrol smell in exhaust fumes. i was wondering what i should do to fix it, it's annoying the hell out of me and atm i get around 370km to the tank ;) so it chews more then a v8 for gods sake ah wellz any help would be appreciated

the less fuel it chews the more money i save for 4AGE :D

Try the basic carby clean, new fuel filter, may need some upper head cylinder lubricant. This may be a stretch but on my 4ac (ae82) one of the parts on the carb was also a filter and could be cleaned was black and had a circle sticker on it. And also check all the vac lines could be the one from the base of filter pan to the tappet cover...???
